MPs ready for Series 12: Pale Hose, Rogers, French Terriers,
Deadlines - 1st half deadline for first three games is Saturday, June 24th, 10 AM EDT. Deadline for 2nd half is Tuesday, June 27th, 10 PM EDT.
Series 12 league file has been posted and the League File link on the website has been updated.
The NRIs take two of three. Activated before game 3 from the IL following a 22 game injury, Raphael Devers gets injured for 20 games during his second AB. It was very convenient as I did not need to make any changes to my six saved lineups.
For the NRIs at Misisssauga, let the computer manager pick the starting pitchers, please use the following lineups:
Pale Hose win 4 of 6 vs Terriers. Game 1 saw Rodon (3-4) pitch a complete game shutout out-dueling Alcantara (6-6) 1-0. [Benintendi was injured for this game and 14 more days] Pale Hose took the second game 7-4 before the Terriers creamed them 10-1. [Chisholm was injured for this game and 7 more days] Returning to Maine, the Hose won the opener 4-1. The Terriers explode for 5 run inning in the top of the 11th to win the middle game 6-1 before the Pale Hose won the finale 3-2.
Game 1 - The Empire takes a 1-0 lead into the 9th before a REynolds blast gives Ucity the lead. EEE then ties it in the bottom of the frame before Dozier wins it for the home team with a 12th inning double. Game 2 - Anunnaki score 3 early on an Acuna HR, but EEE ties it in the 6th and pulls ahead in the 7th on a Ozuna bomb. Ucity then rallies with the help of 3 walks in the 8th and Acuna's two run single is the difference in a 6-5 win. Game 3 - Bailey Falter cruises through 7.2 and Rodgers goes deep in a 4-2 Escondido win. Game 4 - Jesse Winker leads a balanced UCity attack with 3 hits and Walker shuts down the EMpire bats until the 7th and the home squad is never really threatened, 8-4. Game 5 - Ryan Pepiot outpitches Maz Scherzer as a Josh Rojas RBI hit in the 5th produces the game's lone run. Game 6 - Another pitchers duel for a while, until Muncy hits a 3 run jack in the 6th, and Reynolds does the same in the 7th and the EEE bats are MIA again as the Annunaki win 6-0 to take the series 4-2.
G1: Chinook rally late against Clowns pen. McCarthy gets GWRBI double in T9. TBC 3-1.
G2: Javier and Garcia combine for shutout. IND 3-0.
G3: Lux has two triples and Clowns shutout the Chinook again. IND 3-0.
G4: Chinook scoreless streak ends after 24 frames. Taveras hits TRH to go ahead in B8. TBC 4-1.
G5: Kim reaches base all 5 times. Back and forth. TBC 6-5 (11).
G6: Perez hits TRH to give Clowns an insurmountable lead. IND 6-2.
Results for Corpus Christi v Siskiyou full week. We go 1-5 because our hitting and defense is atrocious, and only getting worse as players drop off for usage. Some good games though.
Game One: 4-3 Siskiyou. We win! Betts and Pujols hit homers for the visitors, and the Rotisserie rely on scattering 13 hits for our runs. Springs pitches seven strong.
Game Two: 3-0 Canons. Great game that was better than the score, as all three runs come in the ninth. Lynn goes the distance for the CGSO, while Cobb takes a tough loss, going 8 2/3 before giving up a homer to Varsho. Pressly came on and gave up a single to Urshela before Betts took him deep for the final.
Game Three: 6-4 Canons. Solid game.. Rotisserie get the lead first, with two in the bottom of the first, starting with a leadoff homer from Grossman, and then Meadows doubling in Soler. Canons tied it up with a homer from Betts in the 2nd, and then Urshela reached on an infield single to short (nice) that scored Vazquez. We took the lead right back in the bottom of the inning, with Abrams singling in Greene. Lasted until the 5th when things became pretty unraveled, but thanks in part to a CS of Gimenez, the damage was limited to a RBI double from Urshela who then came home on a Betts single. Canons led 4-3. Game stayed interesting until the 8th when Rodriguez gave up a pair on a Betts single, plating Naylor and Gimenez. Duran homered to get one back, but then we ran out of gas for the final.
Game Four: Canons 8-2. Technically we led first, with a single run in the first, despite getting a double, single, and a walk, but Canons would relentlessly chip in for damage against Glenn Otto, who with his 99 pitches managed to give up all 8 runs (only 7 earned) on 8 hits. Fairchild hit a pair of homers and 5 RBI on the day.
Game Five: Canons 3-2. Again so close. Canons get to Gausman right away with a leadoff homer from Naylor, but wouldn't be until the 6th that anyone scored again. Unfortunately for us they were again Canons runs, as a Varsho double plates Adames and Betts. We chip back with single runs in the 7th and 8th, but Lopez locks us down for the final. Side note: Gausman continues to be pretty bad in TRH, and in another league of mine he's been really really bad. Poor guy. Probably cause he's playing on bad teams.
Game Six: Canons 11-3. Four in the 1st off Springs. Soler hits a homer in the 7th, but otherwise this game was all Canons offense. Homers for Betts, Gimenez, Pujols, and Villar (the 2-5 hitters). Garret goes six giving up just htree hits to get the win.
After losing the first two Brockton wins the last 4 with the help of a bunch of double plays some errors by good fielders and runners thrown out by Brockton. There were some successful hit and run plays by Brockton also.
